The Challenge
A barbershop isn't a controlled studio - it's a working space with its own light and layout. The challenge was to give four different barbers portraits that each showed their own character while staying visually consistent as a set, so they'd work together on a website, a wall, and a social feed. Every frame had to look intentional and premium, not like quick snapshots.
Our Approach
We brought a full studio lighting setup on-location and shot each barber against a clean dark backdrop, using dramatic, controlled light to give every portrait depth and character. The tools of the trade - scissors and clippers - became part of the storytelling. The result is a matching set: Designing Presence, Capturing Character, Elevating Craft, Revealing People - one consistent standard across the whole team. The same approach works for any team whose faces are part of the business.
